Warranty, Returns & Cancellations
Cougar products that are purchased directly from cougargaming.co.za shop may be returned by the Customer in accordance with the “Return Policy”:
- Products with a return request for credit due to incorrect purchase decision must be received within 7 days of invoice date in an unaltered and undamaged state. Only packaging can be opened, the product must not have any traces of use. Customer will be charged up to 15% restocking fee if processing costs occur during reprocessing at COUGAR
- COUGAR will not demand a restocking fee for returned products that are defective. A qualified COUGAR technician will test each returned product for defects and issue appropriate action as agreed with the customer via the RMA communication at support@cougargaming.co.za.
- Warranty is void if a product has been tampered with in a way in which it was not designed for. Misuse, modification, handling damage (i.e. dropping) will void any warranty. Returned items must be in »like new« condition. Returns will not be accepted without an authorised email requesting shipping to the warehouse, which is valid for 7 days after being issued.
- When the RMA request is opened, it is mandatory for a customer to send good quality photos or video, where the damage or faulty function is clearly visible/audible via email to support@cougargaming.co.za
Warranty
The regular warranty covers regular use scenarios.
Stock sold on our website may come with manufacturer warranties which will vary according to the product. Warranties vary mostly from 1 year to 5 years
Customers are urged to consider and familiarise themselves with the terms of any and all warranties provided in respect of any goods to firstly, understand the terms thereof, and second understand to whom the claim should be submitted.
Should a warranty be limited to a replacement or repair for example, no refund for such return will be processed.
Returns
COUGAR shall not under any circumstances accept the return of any item that has visible physical damage.
The determination of what shall constitute customer induced damage for which a manufacturer’s warranty is voided shall be made by the manufacturer authorised service centre.
Any warranty provided by Cougar shall not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by the customer or any other party, use as otherwise recommended by Cougar, failure to follow Cougar’s instructions or any alteration or repair carried out without the approval of Cougar.
No warranty claims shall be possible in respect of items that malfunction or become damaged as a result of lightning or electrical shortages.
Overtightening of case screws shall also be considered to be physical damage. Customers are accordingly cautioned to take care when installing a component.
All chairs sold by Cougar shall have a limited 1-year warranty, which shall not cover wear and tear to the chair.
Should a defect arise while under warranty or you have any other complaints about the product, you must notify Cougar via email (support@cougargaming.co.za) within 3 days of the date that the damage was discovered or ought to have been discovered. Failure to do so shall result in a presumption that the defect occurred at the time it is actually reported to Cougar as soon as possible.
All warranties are local (based in South Africa). Any items purchased from Cougar and taken internationally will not be covered by an international warranty, unless specifically stated by Cougar. Cougar holds no liability for charges on the return of any such items outside of South African borders.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold COUGAR, its directors, employees and agents harmless from and against all liabilities, legal fees, damages, losses, costs and other expenses in relation to any claims or actions brought against COUGAR arising out of any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions or other liabilities arising out of your use of this website.
COUGAR products that are purchased directly from cougar.co.za shop may be swapped out/or refunded in accordance with “Warranty Policy“.

Shipping Policy
COUGAR provides shipping to the sender only. Unless otherwise noted, shipping on products and returns is nonrefundable, and returning a product comes at the expense of the customer.
Damaged Items during delivery: All shipping packages are insured. If you receive a damaged package, you must notify us immediately by e-mail. Sending back damaged merchandise voids the shipping insurance and no credit will be given. Damaged packages must be held for up to several days with original packaging for courier’s company inspection. Once resolved we will send you new products at the courier’s expense.
Customers will be responsible for return shipping charges on merchandise. The customer is responsible for shipping the product back. This is analogous to paying for fuel to drive a product back to a store you bought from to return it. Please ship using a carrier that provides a tracking number and proof of delivery. We will not be responsible for items lost by the carrier. Valid proof of delivery must include the receipt signature of an authorised employee.
